I adapted this recipe from one I saw on the show The Chew–it sounded absolutely delicious and it really is!

This is a picture of the casserole just out of the oven~

To make it here is what you need:

9 baked biscuits–homemade or frozen, split in half horizontally

1 lb. of browned sausage

1 cup of shredded cheese, cheddar or colby/jack mix

1/2 tsp. garlic salt

6 eggs

1 1/2 c. milk

Spray 9×9 pan with cooking spray and place bottom half of each of the biscuits on the bottom of the pan. put the cheese and sausage on top of the half biscuits and cover with the top biscuits. Mix the eggs, milk and garlic salt and pour over the top. Let sit at least 30 min. or refrigerate over night. Bake at 350 degrees covered with foil (this is really important!!) for 40-50 minutes then uncovered for an addtional 10 minutes or until eggs are set and bicuits are lightly browned. Let sit 10 minutes before cutting.

You can sustitute bacon, ham or grilled veggies in place of the sausage.

After I ate mine I though hhmmm….would even be better with a milk gravy over the top–next time!!

Have a great day!
