I made Grandma’s recipe for snitz brodt last week and have been eating it ever since! I needed to use up some dried apricots and prunes I had gotten for Christmas baking, but didn’t use. It is very similar in texture to raisin bread but the dough is a little stronger in flavor.
I made this asparagus dish for dinner last week and it was delish! First, wash and trim a pound or two of asparagus and place on baking sheet. drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Sprinkle with bread crumbs that have been tossed with a little butter (I used home made bread crumbs from my left over bread cubes by pulsing them in my food processor–they were coarse and wonderful for this dish!) So, the other day I was at my local Archiver’s store and picked up this paper pack from Crate Paper: Emma’s Shoppe Collection. The colors and patterns just drew me in…I mean beautiful! Hence, a challenge to myself: I am going to see what I can create using this paper pack and some cardstock, ribbon, die cuts and stamps I already have in my craft supply. Let’s see what I can come up with!!!
